The regression data analysis tool allows you to generate regression equations and associated statistics for single and multiple regression equations.
1. Select Tools and then Data Analysis from the tool bar.This will open the analysis tools menu shown below. Select Regression from the menu.
2. You will see a dialog box that looks like the following:

for Input Y
Range and highlight the y values to be used in the regression.
4. Click on the for Input X
Range and highlight the x values to be used in the regression. Note that multiple x columns may be selected
for multiple regression.
5. Click on the for Output
Range. Enter the reference for the upper-left cell of the output table. Allow at least seven columns for the
summary output table, which includes an anova table, coefficients, standard error of y estimate, r2 values, number
of observations, and standard error of coefficients. An easy way to get the output is to select the New Workbook
option in the output options box. This will place all requested statistics in a new workbook.
