1. Does limiting the number of levels in a DNS hierarchy result in faster name resolution? For example, if an organization limits all names to three segments each instead of allowing ten segments, will name resolution be faster? Why or why not?
2. Experiment by using FTP to transfer a file that contains arbitrary (nontext) values.Transfer the file in binary mode and then in text mode. Compare the results to the original file. How does text transfer change the file?
3. Suppose a link from one Web document to another contains a typo that causes the refererce to contain an invalid computer name. What does a browser report if a user attempts to access the link?
4. In the previous question, what does a browser report if an error causes the link to refer to a valid computer that is not running a Web browser?
5. What interpreters can a browser contain besides HTML and FTP?
