Suggested Software Engineering Projects


  1. NSF grant application manager. ESU professors write grants to organizations like NSF every year. Much of the work in producing a proposal is tedious and could conveivably be automated.
  2. An elevator scheduling system for a building with multiple elevators.
  3. An online inventory management system for Cheezy Media Inc. Cheezy Media purchases old CD's in bulk and markets them on the Internet.
  4. A Course & Room Scheduling System (CRSS) to help ESU faculty and staff assign sections of courses being offered to appropriate classrooms.
  5. Web Slurp. An automated system that will go to the Internet and "slurp-up" specified content.
  6. Any web-based experimental gizmo like DropBall.
  7. Create a concert reservation system that will allow staff and customers to view the item information (eg seating, concert, venue) via the world wide web. The system should be easy to use by both company staff and customers.
